We administer all of these in-person at our Calgary travel clinic — no referrals, no extra trips. One visit, full protection.
Hepatitis A
Protects against contaminated food and water — the #1 risk for travelers. One dose covers your trip, a booster gives lifetime immunity.
Hepatitis B
Spread through blood and bodily fluids. Essential if you might need medical care abroad or are staying 6+ months.
Typhoid
Bacterial infection from contaminated food and water. Available as injection or oral capsules. Common in South Asia, Africa, Latin America.
Yellow Fever
Required by law for entry to many African and South American countries. We're a designated Yellow Fever centre — you'll receive your official certificate in person at your consultation.
Japanese Encephalitis
Mosquito-borne virus in rural Southeast Asia and Pacific. Especially important during monsoon season and rice paddy visits.
Rabies
99.9% fatal once symptoms appear. Stray dogs in India, monkeys in Bali, bats in caves — the pre-exposure vaccine buys you critical time.
Meningococcal
Required for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Also recommended for West Africa's meningitis belt region.
Cholera / Dukoral
Oral vaccine that also protects against the most common cause of traveler's diarrhea (ETEC). Two doses, one week apart.
Tdap Booster
Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis booster. Many Canadians are overdue. We'll check and update during your in-person consultation.
Malaria Prevention
There is no malaria vaccine. After your in-person consultation we recommend an appropriate antimalarial option (Malarone, Doxycycline, or Mefloquine) based on your destination and trip length. Start before you travel.
Influenza
Flu circulates year-round in the tropics. Especially important for cruise ships and group travel where close contact spreads illness fast.
COVID-19
Updated boosters available. Some countries still require proof of vaccination for entry. We have current formulations in stock.
Not sure what you need? We'll figure it out together during your consultation.

Traveling with Kids? We've Got You.
Children are more vulnerable to travel illness — their immune systems are still developing and they're more likely to interact with animals and unwashed surfaces.
Our free in-person family consultations at our Calgary travel clinic cover age-appropriate vaccine schedules, child-friendly antimalarial options, practical packing advice (rehydration salts, fever remedies, sunscreen), and food safety tips for kids.
We see families every week. Bring everyone in — the consultation is free and we'll make sure the whole family is protected before you fly.
When Should You Come In?
Travel vaccines need time to build immunity. But even if you're leaving soon — come in anyway for your in-person consultation.
Ideal Window
Multi-dose series (Hep B, Rabies) need this lead time. We can order specialty vaccines. Full immunity by departure.
Still Great
Single-dose vaccines (Hep A, Typhoid, Yellow Fever) provide strong protection within 2 weeks.
Last Minute
Come in anyway. Many vaccines provide partial protection quickly. We can still recommend malaria prevention options and critical destination-specific health advice.

Your Travel Questions — Answered
The consultation is completely free. We assess your full itinerary, build a personalized travel health plan, and explain everything you need — at no charge. You only pay for the travel vaccines themselves, and costs vary depending on which ones you need. Some may be covered by your private insurance or employee benefits. We'll give you a complete breakdown at your in-person appointment.
All travel health consultations are in-person at our Calgary clinic. We do not operate as an online pharmacy and we do not sell or ship any medication online. Booking an appointment is required so we can review your itinerary, administer travel vaccines, and issue any required certificates (such as the Yellow Fever Card) face-to-face.
Some travel vaccines may be covered by your private health insurance or employee benefits. Most travel-specific vaccines like Yellow Fever and Japanese Encephalitis are not covered by Alberta Health Care. Bring your insurance card to your in-person appointment and we'll help you determine coverage.
Yes — even resort destinations carry real risks. Hepatitis A is strongly recommended for Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic. Typhoid if eating locally. Traveler's diarrhea is extremely common. Don't assume popular destinations are risk-free.
In most cases, yes. We stock all common travel vaccines at our Calgary clinic and can administer multiple in a single in-person appointment. Multi-dose series (Hep B, Rabies) need follow-up visits, but we'll schedule those before you leave.
Passport, complete travel itinerary (including layovers), vaccination records if you have them, and your insurance card. Don't worry if you can't find old vaccine records — we can still help.

What Calgary Travelers Say
We took our whole family to India — two adults, two kids under 10. The travel health team went through every city, explained what each person needed, and gave us all our vaccines at one in-person visit. We didn't get sick once. I tell every parent I know to go here.
Needed last-minute travel vaccines for Lagos, Nigeria — only 10 days' notice. They fit me in within two days, gave me yellow fever, hepatitis, and typhoid, and walked me through malaria prevention. Incredibly efficient. I've been back three times for different trips.
They didn't just give us shots — they explained altitude sickness for Cusco, food safety tips, and packed us a checklist. Way more thorough than any travel clinic I've been to.
